titleSome Versal Evaluation Boards, such as VCK190 and VMK180, will leverage an microSD card interface, rather than eMMC medium, to store the Root File System and assets needed to complete secondary boot steps and load the System Controller software. For Updates to System Controller Using SD Card

For setting up the microSD card, you’ll need to download the latest SD card image as indicated in the SC Images table found here and then write it using an Image Flashing tool such as Balena Etcher.

  1. Download the Kria Ubuntu Desktop 22.04 LTS Image and save it on latest SC Image for your Evaluation Board from the table found above and save the file onto your computer.

  2. Download Balena Etcher (recommended; available for Window, Linux, and macOS) from their website and install onto your computer.

  3. Insert or connect the microSD to your PC and ollow the instructions in Balena Etcher to select the downloaded image for flashing onto your microSD card.
