Build FSBL

This how-to describes how to build the First Stage Boot Loader (FSBL) for your target platform.
 Building the FSBL is a part of the Xilinx design flow described in Getting Started Xilinx Open Source Linux.

Task Dependencies (Pre-requisites)

• System design completed in Vivado

Tools Required

• Xilinx SDK

Input Files Required

• Bitstream (for the programmable logic portion)
• System hardware project hdf file

Output Files Produced

• fsbl

Task Description

Using SDK

• Using SDK, create a New Application Project using the 'Zynq FSBL' template.

Using HSI

bash$ hsi

hsi% set hwdsgn [open_hw_design <hardware.hdf>]

hsi% generate_app -hw $hwdsgn -os standalone -proc ps7_cortexa9_0 -app zynq_fsbl -compile -sw fsbl -dir <dir_for_new_app>
