Hierarchical design and RTL support

The SHEL flow, much like previous iterations of AMD open source embedded flows, does not support Block Design Containers or having an RTL design at the top level. This support is planned for the future.

AMD MicroBlaze™ Processor and AMD MicroBlaze™ V Processor

Currently the SHEL flow has limited support for MicroBlaze™ and MicroBlaze™ V processors and is only intended for use with bare metal applications.
